Is it free?#

Yes, and it always will be. Nothing is sold: the Backyard Monsters Refitted team's code may only be used non-commercially. Shiny, the game's premium currency, comes from the game itself (you start with some, and quests and mushrooms give more).

How do I play?#

Get the L.O.S launcher, sign in with your L.O.S account and pick L.O.S Backyard Monsters in the games hub. Step by step: Getting Started.

Who made this?#

Kixeye made the original game. The version you play is the Backyard Monsters Refitted team's restoration (github.com/bym-refitted/backyard-monsters-refitted); L.O.S hosts it and signs you in with your L.O.S account. See Credits.

Do I need a separate account?#

No. Your L.O.S account is all you need: your game account is made the first time you press Play. The game's own sign-up and password screens aren't used here.

Is my progress saved?#

Yes, to our server as you play. Your yard is there next time, on any computer.

Can I bring my yard from bymrefitted.com?#

Not yet. Their server and ours are separate, so yards don't move between them.

Does the chat work?#

Not yet: the in-game chat box shows "Chat is currently disconnected". Use the forums or the Discord to talk.
